TVET Colleges In Johannesburg NSFAS Qualification Criteria
The only people eligible for this scholarship project are South African citizens.
- A student must be enrolled in a PLP, NC(V), or Report 191 programme or intending to enrol at one of South Africa’s fifty (50) public TVET colleges;
- must need financial aid (a student’s eligibility for financial aid is determined by the NSFAS);
- Returning students must demonstrate documented and acknowledged academic performance (academically meritorious) following the College’s advancement programme or the Bursary Rules and Guidelines, whichever is greater;
- The applicant must not be enrolling for a qualification that replicates prior state-funded learning; additionally, the applicant may be eligible if their combined gross family income does not exceed R350,000 annually and they have been accepted into or received a solid offer of enrollment from a college.
Who Should Apply For NSFAS Funding In Johannesburg

- All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
- Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
- The person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
