Institutions Where Matric Can Be Rewritten
Students in South Africa have multiple options for retaking their matriculation, including the

Department of Education
The Second Chance Matric Programme (SCMP) offered by the Department of Education is designed to assist students who want to repeat or enhance their matric courses. Adults and students can get their Senior Certificate or National Senior Certificate (NSC) through the SCMP.
Students who are matriculating as adults and are above 21 are eligible for the SC, whereas those who are under 21 are eligible for the NSC.
The SCMP offers these matric subjects, among others:

Applying to Matric College is open to anyone over 21 who wants to be eligible for a matric credential. Matric College provides adult matric learners with distance learning courses and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training.
Adult matriculators can select from a wide range of mandatory and elective courses at Matric College.

There are no limits on the number of subjects that adult matriculators may write; they are free to write as many subjects from the following list as they choose.
To apply to Matric College, a person must register prior to the January 31, 2024, registration deadline.

If students would like to retake their matriculation online, they can apply to the Elroi Academy distance learning programme. Elroi Academy is an online distance-learning institution that specialises in teaching matric rewrites to students in Grades 10 through 12.
