Which Documents Should I Submit To The NSFAS?

By NSFAS guidelines, students must upload the following files with their online application:

How to Submit NSFAS Documents for the 2024 Application

To ensure that your NSFAS documents are uploaded successfully, follow these comprehensive instructions:

• step 1: Review your files.

Verify that you have readable, clear scans of any required documents in the PNG, JPG, or PDF formats. The maximum file size for each document should be 2MB.

• Step 2: Create an account on myNSFAS and log in.

To access your myNSFAS account, go to www.nsfas.org.za, the NSFAS website, and enter your email address and password.

Step 3: Proceed to the Document Upload Section.

Go to your account’s document upload section after logging in. Usually, you can find this under the “Application” or “Documents” tab.

Who Cannot Appeal After NSFAS Application Rejected

Students are not permitted to appeal if they:

• Are registered for a qualification that NSFAS does not fund;
• They have reached N+2 (or N+3 in the case of students with disabilities).
• The student is a gap year student whom NSFAS previously denied financial aid to because s/he did not meet the academic eligibility criteria.
• If the institution has not submitted its registration record to NSFAS or has submitted an incorrect registration record such enquiries should be directed to the institution.
