If a student plans to enrol in a public university or college in 2024, they can now apply for financial aid under the National Student Financial Aid Scheme. NSFAS. Since TVET colleges and the other 26 public universities only accept students from a particular economic background, the government organisation NSFAS offers loans and scholarships to help these students enrol. If a student is eligible for assistance through the National Student Aid Scheme, they must submit their 2024 applications for the National Student Aid Scheme before the closing date (NSFAS). As scheduled, the NSFAS Portal will close at 11:59 PM on January 31, 2024.

Disqualified Applicant To Apply For NSFAS In 2024
- Students who have completed a previous qualification.
- Students with a combined household income of more than R350 000 per annum.
Students who previously applied were accepted and were given financial support. If they pass all of their modules and fulfil the academic standards, they will get automatic funding for the length of their study.

Documents Needed for NSFAS Online Application 2024-2025 are
- Photocopy of your Identity Document.
- photocopy of a SASSA letter
- photocopy of the ID document of each household member including parents or legal guardian.
- Certified copy of your latest academic transcript or exam results
- If either of your parents is deceased, please provide a certified copy of the death certificate.
- If your parents are divorced, please provide a certified copy of the divorce decree.
NSFAS Application Procedure In 2024

For what duration is NSFAS funding you?
Only a maximum of five years of support depending on funding availability each year will be provided by NSFAS if you meet the means test requirements.
