What Are The Requirements For Nsfas At Elangeni College?

Elangeni College is one of the 50 public Tvet Colleges which is been funded by the national student financial aid scheme. Elangeni TVET College is dedicated to providing South African students with high-quality vocational instruction. The college has joined the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) to provide financial aid through its online application platform since it recognizes the financial difficulties that many students encounter.

Nsfas At Elangeni College Application Opening and Closing Date

The online application opening date for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme 2024 academic year starts from the month of September 2023 and closes on the 31st of January 2024. Therefore, we advise all applicants who want to apply for the fund to start with their online application as the application is still ongoing before the deadline of the application to prevent rejection of the application.

 

Nsfas At Elangeni College Application Eligibility

Applicants who fall within this category qualify to apply for the Nsfas.

  • Applicants must be South African citizen
  • Applicants must have all SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
  • Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 yearly
  • The person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 yearly
  • Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 yearly.

 

What Are The Requirements For Nsfas At Elangeni College

Applicants who wishes to apply for the Nsfas should take note of the documents they must have at hand during their applications.

  • Applicant’s cellphone number and email address
  • Applicants must submit a valid Copy of your ID or birth certificate
  • Applicants must submit a valid ID copy of parents, guardians or spouse
  • Applicants must submit proof of income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable)
  • Applicants must submit their parents, guardian or spouse’s proof of income
  • If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income will be required
  • Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form.
  • An applicant who is recognized as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

To ensure a successful application of the NSFAS applicants should follow these application process.

  • Applicants should visit NSFAS’s official website www.nsfas.org.za
  • Applicants should click on create account to create your myNSFAS account
  • Applicants should log in and Click the Apply tab
  • Applicants should fill in your personal required details and upload your supporting documents
  • Applicants should click on the ‘Submit’ option to complete your application and note your application Reference number after filling in your personal details required.
