Tvet Colleges Admission Requirements
Following is the admission entry documentation for each of these course options:
Higher Certificate in Auxiliary Nursing (1 year):
- The applicants must have earned their National Senior Certificate (NSC) at the conclusion of their matriculating academic year with an overall NSC score of 16 points, at least 40% in English or their native tongue, and at least 50% in life sciences or biology.
Advanced/Diploma in Nursing (3 years):
- Applicants must have completed Life Orientation, Math, English, a First or Home Language, at least a matric education standard, and Life Science. The student must register with the South African Nursing Council to become a nurse.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (4 years):
- Applicants must have completed Life Orientation, Math, English, a First or Home Language, at least a matric education standard, and Life Science. Last but not least, the student must register with the South African Nursing Council as a nurse, just like the prerequisites for enrolling in the diploma program.
