TVET Colleges Qualification 2024

There are two types of qualifications offered at TVET colleges:

  • National Certificate (Vocational) commonly known as NCV, is a specialized qualification that focuses on vocational skills in various fields. NCV programs are structured to provide students with hands-on training and theoretical knowledge, ensuring they are job-ready upon completion. These qualifications span a wide array of disciplines, such as engineering, hospitality, business, and art and design, among others. National Certificate (Vocational) requires students to have at least completed grade 9 while NATED courses require you to have Matric.
  • National Accredited Technical Education Diploma (NATED) programmes, also referred to as “Report 191” programmes.

 Supporting Document To Send To TVET Colleges

The following certified documents must be uploaded by all applicants beginning a new qualification:

  1. Birth Certificate/Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID/Passport)
  2. Certificates/Qualifications
  3. Recent Academic results
  4. Municipal billing document/other account statements (not older than 3 months)
  5. A valid study permit (Foreign national students)
  6. The South African Qualification Authority’s (SAQA) Evaluation Certificate (foreign qualifications).
