How much is the NSFAS allowance for 2024, SWGC NSFAS Application
Admission to South West Gauteng TVET College is now being accepted for the 2024–2025 academic year. Prospective students are encouraged to apply to the college to continue their studies. Although higher education is indeed expensive, students from families earning less than R350,000 annually are eligible to apply for Nsfas bursaries from South West Gauteng TVET College in partnership with DHET, which would help them pay for their studies. SWGC NSFAS Application Closing Date 2024
- YES application is accepted now and will end on January 31, 2024
Applications are being accepted by the NSFAS for 2024. Kindly submit a grant proposal by January 31, 2024, for NSFAS. January 31, 2024, is the new deadline for applications for 2024. Your application will not be approved if it is received after the deadline, so please submit it as soon as possible.
How may I Apply for SWGC Bursary from NSFAS?
- If prospective students choose to study at the college through the NSFAS Bursary, they must submit their online applications at www.swgc.co.za and choose the NSFAS emblem found at the top of the webpage OR http://www.nsfas.org.za/content/.
- It will not be necessary for returning students who passed and were funded by the NSFAS to reapply, as the bursary will be renewed immediately in the New Year.
- All applicants who have been awarded a bursary are eligible to enrol.
- Students who do not qualify for a bursary or whose Means Test results show that they do not need financial assistance must pay the minimum registration fee of 20% of the programme cost, as shown in the price list on the college’s website, www.swgc.co.za, and enter into a payment agreement with the college to cover the remaining balance of their fees.
- Students can go to campus and apply if they don’t have access to the internet.
Documents Needed When Applying for SWGC Bursary
To apply for the NSFAS bursary, you will be required to have certified and scanned copies of the following documents:
- Identity Document/Birth Certificate
- Latest Academic Results
- Proof of parents’ income (If parent/s employed)
- Death Certificate/s (If parent/s deceased)
- Doctor’s Certificate (If permanently disabled)
SWGC NSFAS Allowances
According to the most recent DHET standards, the funds allocated for housing, stipend, transportation, and educational materials must match.
- Accommodation in an urban area is R24,000 per annum
- Accommodation in a peri-urban area is R18,900 per annum
- Accommodation in a rural area is R15,750 per annum
- Transport (up to 40 km from the institution) R7,350 per annum
- Transport R7000 per annum
- Incidental/personal care allowance R2900 per annum
