South West Gauteng Institution is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college that operates under the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) under the Continuing Education and Training Act, Act No.16 of 2006, as amended. Start the application procedure as soon as possible. Get the necessary documentation, fill out the application form in its entirety, and download it. Early preparation ensures an easy application process and reduces the possibility of last-minute issues. If you miss the application deadline which is on 31st October 2024, there’s no chance your application will be accepted, which could cause you to postpone your academic ambitions for up to a year.   • Student application (top left)
  • Upload/send documents (certified ID & proof of residence) on “certificates seen” before submitting an application

  • Choose where (campus) & how you would like to study your Qualification (full-time/part-time/exam only)

  • Save and continue
  • Accept application

Document to Be Submitted in 2024 When Applying for SWGC

The College must receive supporting documentation for each application. The following papers must be sent with completed application forms:

  • Certified copy of the latest results/qualification
  • Certified copy of Identity document
  • Attached medical statement from a registered doctor if you have any disability or ongoing medical condition that will require you to seek special assistance from the College,

The College cannot consider your application if all required supporting documentation is not attached.

What Are SWGC Registration Process 2024

to effectively register after a successful application please follow the steps below;

  1. Login using your Student Number and PIN (Student Portal)
  2. Click on ‘Registration’
  3. Click ‘Submit Registration’
  4. Click on ‘I Accept Rules and Regulations’ before you can continue
  5. Subject selection (click on ‘Save’)
  6. Choice of study (First time(F) or Part-time(P)–Remember to ‘Save/Accept’
  7. Summary of cost and subject selection ‘Save/Accept’
  8. Print a Proof of Registration (PDF), sign and submit a at Campus
  9. Please Note: Returning students can only proceed to the registration step
  10. after the results for the previous block are released and available on the system.
