Who Qualifies for NSFAS funding 2024/2025?
- South African citizens or permanent residents
- SASSA grant recipients
- Applicants whose combined gross household income is not more than R350 000 per year
- Persons living with disabilities whose combined gross household income is not more than R600 000 per year.
Who should not apply for NSFAS 2024/2025?
For students who previously secured funding and are yet to complete their current qualification, there’s no need to reapply each year. As long as they’re not switching between sectors (like moving from a TVET College to a University or the opposite), and they consistently meet academic performance standards by passing their modules, their funding will continue throughout their studies.
