Applicants who fall within these criteria qualify for the national student financial aid scheme.

Applicants must be South African citizens
Applicants must have all SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 yearly
The person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 yearly
Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 yearly.

Applicants must provide 4 certified copies of their student’s ID
Applicants must provide both parents/guardians’s Certified ID copies
Applicants must provide both parents/Guardians’ proof of income (latest payslips/pension card/child support grant card)
Applicants must provide sworn affidavit by parents/guardian if unemployed
Applicants must provide certified copies of death certificates in the event that the mother and/or father are deceased
Applicants must provide proof of address (utility bill or letter from Councilor)
Applicants must provide a certified copy of their landlord’s ID copy if renting private accommodation.
