Applicants who fall within these criteria qualify for the national student financial aid scheme.
- Applicants must be South African citizens
- Applicants must have all SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
- Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 yearly
- The person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 yearly
- Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 yearly.

Below are the documents applicants must have at hand during their application
- Applicants must provide 4 certified copies of their student’s ID
- Applicants must provide both parents/guardians’s Certified ID copies
- Applicants must provide both parents/Guardians’ proof of income (latest payslips/pension card/child support grant card)
- Applicants must provide sworn affidavit by parents/guardian if unemployed
- Applicants must provide certified copies of death certificates in the event that the mother and/or father are deceased
- Applicants must provide proof of address (utility bill or letter from Councilor)
- Applicants must provide a certified copy of their landlord’s ID copy if renting private accommodation.

Applicants should follow these application guidelines to apply for the Mnambithi Tvet College Nsafs
- Applicants should go to www.nsfas.org.za
- Applicants should click on myNsfas Tab
- Applicants should click on the register
- Applicants should tick the box to allow Nsfas to verify their details
- Applicants should capture their ID number as stated on their ID documents
- Applicants should type in their full name and surname as indicated on the ID
- Applicants should enter their current and functioning email address
- Applicants should confirm their email address
- Applicants should enter their cell phone number
- Applicants should create a password for yourself
- Applicants should confirm the password you generated
- Applicants should upload their ID copy
- Applicants should click on Register to apply
- An OTP will be sent to the email and phone number of the applicants
- Applicants should type in the OTP and click on SUBMIT
- your NSFAS application has been successfully completed.
