At TNC,  the online application portal is open to both new and returning students. As long as you meet the college and programme of your choice’s entrance standards, you can apply now for the 2024–2025 academic year. To fill out the online application and increase your chances of being admitted to the college, go to the official college website. All South African and foreign high school graduates are welcome to use the portal, regardless of their race, religion, or colour. applicant must know that the application commences in September and ends the next month October.

Step 1: Do the pre-screening test

  • You will be requested to sign an acknowledgement that you prefer to make your own choice outside of the placement screening

Step 2: Get your application form

  • Please ensure that you provide a valid and working e-mail address and one cellphone number during the application proces

Step 3: Complete your application form in full

  • Birth Certificate/Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID/Passport)

Step 4: Attach all supporting documents

All applicants starting a new qualification are required to upload the following certified documents:

  • Certificates/Qualifications
  • Recent Academic results
  • Municipal billing document/other account statements (not older than 3 months)
  • A valid study permit (Foreign national students)
  • The South African Qualification Authority’s (SAQA)
  • Evaluation Certificate (foreign qualifications)

Step 5: Submit your application

A confirmation email will be sent to you with all the application information.

 TNC Business Studies N4-N6 Programs

At Tshwane North TVET College (TNC), practical experience is emphasised heavily in all programmes. This guarantees that students have the abilities needed to function in the workplace in addition to understanding the theoretical portion of the curriculum.

Minimum admission requirements N4-N6: NC(V) level 4 (Business and Utility Studies) /Passed Matric/Grade 12/NC(V) Level 4 PLUS Specific requirements per programme as indicated in the table below:

2. Financial management Full time Compulsory Requirements: Minimum 40% in English AND Minimum 30% in Accounting
3. Art and design Full time Compulsory Requirement: Minimum 50% in English
4. Public relations Full time Compulsory Requirements: Minimum 50% in English AND Minimum 30% in Computer / Typing related subjects will be added as an advantage.
5. Clothing production Full time Compulsory Requirement: Minimum 50% in English
6. Tourism Full time Compulsory Requirement: Minimum 50% in English AND Minimum 50% in Tourism AND Minimum 30% in Accounting OR Mathematics OR Mathematical Literacy
7. Hospitality & catering services Full time Compulsory Requirement: Minimum 40% in English AND Minimum 40% in Consumer Studies OR Home Economics OR Hospitality Studies subjects
8. Public management Full time Compulsory Requirements: Minimum 40% in English. A minimum of 30% In any Business studies-related subjects will be added as an advantage.
9. Legal Secretary Full time Compulsory Requirements: Minimum 40% in English. A minimum of 30% in Computer / Typing related subjects will be added as an advantage.
10. Business management Full time Compulsory Requirements: Minimum 40% in English AND Minimum 30% in Accounting
