The online application dates for the 2024 NSFAS started in the month of September 2023 and run through till the 31st of January 2024, therefore all applicants who are yet to apply to start with their application process before the deadline of the application to prevent rejection.

Below are the application requirements applicants who wish to apply for the NSFAS must take note of before applying.
- Applicants must submit a Signed bursary application form
- Applicants must submit 5 Certified copies of I.D.
- Applicants must submit Proof of income (grant, pensions, etc) of both parents OR
- Applicants must submit an Affidavit if parents/sponsor/guardians are unemployed, deceased or their whereabouts are not known
- Applicants must submit the Latest academic results of the applicant (average of 40%)
- Applicants must submit Proof of residence
- Applicants must submit I.D. or birth certificates of all household members
- Applicants must submit Reports of all students in the household.

Applicants who fall within this range can apply for the financial aid
- Applicants must be a citizen of South Africa.
- Applicants must be enrolled in or planning to enrol in a PLP, NC(V), or Report 191 program at a TVET College.
- A household income of less than R350 000 yearly is required.
- If you have a disability, your household income must be less than R600 000 yearly.
- Returning students must demonstrate proven and acceptable academic performance in accordance with the College’s progression policy or the Bursary Rules and Guidelines’ advancement prescriptions.
- Applicants must not be enrolled in a course that repeats past state-funded learning.

- Applicants should create your myNSFAS account.
