EEC Application Date

In Western Massachusetts, optional certifications for Lead Teacher and Teacher become available on December 6, 2023. With time, more regions will be added.

What Documents Must I Provide With My Application?

To confirm your eligibility, you will need to submit some papers in addition to your application.

  • Verification of Work Experience Form completed and signed by the EEC director or lead instructor in your programme, indicating the age group you worked with
  • Your official transcript from college, which bears the name of the institution and the registrar’s signature
  • Should your official college transcript originate from outside of the nation, it needs to be presented with an assessment from a company that offers services for evaluating international credentials and translating them into English. Course-by-course credit listing is required for the evaluation.
  • if it isn’t on your official transcript, a copy of your degree
  • A copy of your licence from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), if you have a Pre-K–2 or Pre-K–3 licence.
  • Your initial Department of Public Health Child Development Associate (CDA), Montessori, or Early Intervention Specialist certificate
  • Your original course certificates, which attest to the fact that continuing education units (CEUs) were granted for your instruction
  • CEUs cannot be replaced with Professional Development Points or workshop attendance verification, and neither will be accepted.
