Why Is A NQF 4 (Matric Certificate) Needed

You can enrol at postsecondary institutions with an NQF 4. More significantly, the majority of employers demand that you possess a NQF 4 or matric certificate as a minimum. This is usually not necessary for more physically demanding jobs, but not everyone is suited for such labour. Furthermore, you don’t want to spend the rest of your life in the same spot. Everybody has a dream home and way of life, but achieving them requires money.

NQF Levels

These are the NQFs that you would leave high school with:

Grade 9 – NQF 1

Grade 10 – NQF 2

Grade 11 – NQF 3

Grade 12 – NQF 4

CJC Admission APS Required

  •  Pre- PreVocational Programme (PLP) certificate with a 50% pass in English and Life Orientation and a 60% pass in Mathematics and Foundational Science;
  • Grade 9 statement with a 50% pass in Mathematics/ Mathematical Literacy and English FAL; or a
  • AET L4 (GETC) with a 50% pass in Mathematics/ Mathematical Literacy and English FAL; or a
  • Equivalent Occupational Qualification; or a
  • RPL Assessment Programme; or an
  • APS score of 24, using the best of six Grade 9 subjects, inclusive of Mathematics/ Mathematical Literacy/ Technical Mathematics and English; or an;
  • APS a score of 22, using the best of six Grade 10/ NC (V) L2 subjects, inclusive of Mathematics/ Mathematical Literacy/ Technical Mathematics and English; or an;
  • APS score of 20, using the best of six Grade 10/ NC (V) L3 subjects, inclusive of Mathematics/ Mathematical Literacy/ Technical Mathematics and English; or an;
  • APS score of 18, using the best of six Grade 11/ NC (V) L4 subjects, inclusive of Mathematics/ Mathematical Literacy/ Technical
